Husky Safari in Wilderness – BBQ & 6–10 km Self-Drive Adventure

4 hours

Easy

Enjoy a peaceful small‑group husky safari in the Lapland wilderness. Drive your own sled on a 6–10 km trail, meet the friendly huskies, and relax with a cosy BBQ and seasonal warm drinks inside a Lappish kota. Sometimes we are lucky to spot reindeer along

Your journey begins at the pickup point, where you meet your local guide and join the transfer into the snowy forest. We keep everything simple and straightforward — Lapland style — with relaxed, friendly customer service from the very first moment.

As we drive deeper into the wilderness, the landscape opens into quiet forest. Along the way, it’s common to see wildlife or fresh animal tracks in the snow — a natural bonus of travelling through real Lapland nature.

At our peaceful wilderness husky farm, warm winter clothing is provided if needed. Your guide gives clear driving and safety instructions and introduces you to your own team of huskies. We operate on private trails, away from crowds, offering high privacy and a calm environment for both guests and dogs.

Once ready, you set off on a 6–10 km self‑drive husky safari through snowy forest and open landscapes. Two guests share each sled — one drives, one rides — and you can switch halfway. The ride lasts around 40–55 minutes, depending on weather and trail conditions. There is a short stop in the middle of the route for photos, and if you are sitting in the sled, you can also film with your phone or an action camera like a GoPro during the ride.

After the safari, you have relaxed time for cuddling and petting the huskies. The dogs love attention, and this is your moment to take photos and enjoy being close to the team.

We then gather inside a warm kota for a cosy BBQ break. By the fire, you can grill sausages, enjoy hot berry juice, seasonal warm drinks and seasonal cookies while sharing stories with your guide as the dogs rest outside. It’s a peaceful pause in the middle of the wilderness — simple, warm and genuine.

Finally, we return to Rovaniemi with a comfortable drop‑off at your original pickup point. This is an authentic small‑group experience with private trails, high privacy and easygoing Lapland customer service — a day where people, dogs and nature come together naturally.
